Jemma

Jemma McKenzie-Brown was born on June 2nd 1994 in the town of Beverly in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. From the age of five she made her parents watch her perform Spice Girls routines, singing and dancing around the house.
When Jemma saw an advertisment for the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London, home to budding stars, she begged her parents to let her audition for a place at the school. She got through - and the school started opening doors for her.
In 2006, the young starlet played Georgina Pritchard in the much-loved short television series, The Amazing Mrs Pritchard, portraying the daughter of Jane Horrocks character. In 2008, Jemma landed a guest appearence in popular UK kids show, M.I.High as Irene in the episode Spy Plane. Jemma lent her voice to radio plays Old Peter's Russian Tales and The Monstrous Mother.
Then the call came for Jemma to take part in a closed audition for the coveted role of Tiara Gold in High School Musical Three. According to Jemma herself, she shouted what? when she heard about the audition. She says she was excited about auditioning, since "Even before my audition, my friends always said that if we ever did our own version of HSM, I'd be perfect for Sharpay - but not because I'm a bitch or anything"
Aged thirteen, Jemma beat hundreds of hopeful young talents [amongst these some of Jemmas closest friends] for the role. The auditions involved her being asked to dance for the panel without any preperation and the obvious singing and script-work tests. She has said that after the third audition she thought she'd messed up - and when she was told she had the part she didn't believe it.
And Jemma is certainly recieving praise for her talents; "An international casting call went out to find three new sophomore "Wildcats". This resulted in the casting of Matt Prokop, Justin Martin, and Jemma Mckenzie-Brown. Commenting on the announcement, Kenny Ortega [HSM Choreographer/Director] said, "Peter Barsocchini's exciting script for 'High School Musical 3' called for the addition of three sophomore characters, so we set out on a massive casting search across North America and England to find just the right young actors to play the parts. We think these talented performers will bring lots of humor, new twists, and musical fun to the film. Jemma was one of the many young actresses that we met in London, and she impressed us with her singing and dancing, in addition to being very exciting and effervescent." [Quoute from Wikipedia]
Jemma is a very bubby girl as was revelaed in the HSM3 behind the scenes casting/filming/rehersal videos. She wasn't pictured without a smile on her face, and she danced around happily and told reporters she felt like "running up and down" and that she was "Over the world. Over the world? Over the moon even; on top of the world!" discussing the prospect of working with the current High School Musical stars and starring in the movie. She insists that reality still hasn't sunk in and her mother says her feet are definitely still on the ground.
Her style is individual and she has been spotted wearing fashionable finds such as an I <3 LDN tee from British high-street store Topshop. At the HSM3 Pep-Rally she wore all black with a hat and white ray-bans. She definitely has her own look which is bound to become popular amongst teen girls.
Jemma is rumoured to be dating fellow new-wildcat Matt Prokop. But, Jemma has denied the rumour, therefore we can tell you it's not true.
Thanks to Shannon! The old owner! Great job!
