Jemma Fans was founded in May 2008, and finally made it's online debut in August that same year. Jemma Fans was the very first fansite for Jemma McKenzie-Brown, hosting the first gallery, video archive, media section, and being the first to discover simple facts such as her birthplace, how she made her rise to fame and her date of birth.

So, why did Jemma Fans start? A fan of The Amazing Mrs Pritchard when it aired in 2006, Shannon was amazed to hear of Jemma's acting credits when news broke about the 'New Wildcats'. She watched a couple of videos and Jemma's bubbly personality made her interested in the vivacious young actress. After a while, she decided to build a source where more people could find out about the starlet, and Jemma Fans was created! The websites opening was slowed due to only one photo of Jemma being on the net at the time.
